Boonshoft Museum of Discovery - Every 3rd Tuesday of the month is free for the family from 4-8pm Best time to go is 4-6 and it's not bad at all. After 6pm all the older kids show up and it gets pretty busy then!
Children's Museum of Indianapolis - Every 1st Thursday of the month is free for the family from 5-8pm
Dayton Audubon Society - sponsors a variety of birding walks and evening programs appropriate for adults and older children interested in nature and birding. They do not however sponsor events for young children. There is an annual dues for those wishing to actually join the society but membership is not required to attend events and there is no fee for walks and programs unless the information about it specifies a fee. The nature walks are mostly scheduled in the spring and fall. Meetings are on third Wednesdays at 7 PM at Wegerzyn Garden Center at 1301 Siebenthaler Ave., from Sept. to June (except for Dec. when the Christmas Bird Count takes the place of the reg. meeting.
